Coach Info

Greg Cambron – Head Archery Coach

Greg has been a member of the Saint Xavier Science Department faculty for more than 17 years. While teaching academic- and honors-level physics courses as well as honors independent science research, Greg has used the bow and arrow as valuable laboratory tools in the study of projectile motion. His students enjoyed the learning experience and encouraged him to form an Archery Club. With the support of St. Xavier Principal Frank Espinosa, he began the process of founding the club in the spring of 2013, just as the Kentucky High School Athletic Association hosted its first state championship in the newly sanctioned Archery Sport Activity. In the fall of 2013, the Archery Club and the KHSAA Saint Xavier Archery Team became realities. In addition to his years of recurve and compound target archery experience, Greg earned his Basic Archery Instructor certification in the summer of 2013. He has scored a documented “Robin Hood” (one arrow into another on the target) although he would be the first to admit that it was not related to skill so much as dumb luck.

Greg lives in Indiana with his three children: Caitlin, Loretta and Christian.
