Academic Team Wins District Title

The Academic Team captured the program's 21st consecutive District Title in Governor’s Cup competition on January 28th. 

The Future Problem Solving and Quick Recall teams both placed second. Overall team scores were – St. X (46 points), Trinity (45), Collegiate (16) and Sacred Heart (16).

The Quick Recall team members were: Zade Mutwalli, Nick Lanning, Stanford Broadwater, Steven Bennett, Braeden Salazar, Jacob Staashelm, Roland Le, Dylan Harkins and AK Kash.

The Future Problem Solving team members were: Luca Sanchez, Parker Moorman, Zach Bannon and Andrew Klem.  

In individual competition, eight Tigers placed in the top five. The following young men will join the Quick Recall and Future Problem Solving teams in regional competition on February 13th and 18th.

Math – Nick Lanning (2nd) and Griffin Mercer (3rd)

Social Studies – Zade Mutwalli (3rd) and Nick Canaday (5th)

Arts and Humanities – Stanford Broadwater (1st) and Zade Mutwalli (4th)

Composition – Justin Voelker (1st) and Sam Guizio (3rd)

Language Arts – Stanford Broadwater (1st) and Nathan Slaven (4th)

Science – David DeGeare (4th) and Zachary Schneider (5th)
