Posted 06/12/2017 05:00PM

Congratulations to rising sophomore Joey Keal who has recently been selected as a delegate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund Children’s Congress in Washington D.C on July 24-26, 2017.

The 150 delegates range from ages 4-17 and represent all 50 states and the District of Columbia. They will enjoy the opportunity to help members of Congress understand Type 1 Diabetes and why research to fund life-changing therapies is so important.

The JDRF Children’s Congress T1D advocacy program began in 1999. Since its inaugural year, nine successful Children’s Congresses have been held with more than 1,000 kids with T1D serving as delegates.

Congrats, Joey!
