CAMPUS MINISTRY NEWS
This Saturday Locust Grove will be having their annual Watershed Festival. They are looking for volunteers from 9:30 AM until 8:00 PM to help with their concession stands. The Beargrass Creek Foundation will be conducting an environmental project pulling invasive species of weeds on Sunday from 8:00 AM until Noon. These projects are posted on MobileServe.
Attention Sophomores and Juniors: Tomorrow during Theology classes you will have your yearbook photos taken. You need a sport coat for the picture.
Faculty and staff members are reminded to have your yearbook photo taken tomorrow.
Reminder to all students driving to school. Parking tags need to be bought and picked up in the Student Services Office by the end of the day today.
Calling All Freshmen! Sign up this week to be a St. X Student Ambassador. Come and be a part of the St. X tradition by registering in the Admissions Office during lunch, after, and before school, or see Mr. Johnson. We need Green and Gold Freshmen for 2017. Sign up this week.
A Graduated Licensing class will be held this on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in Room 119. You must have your permit and student ID or a letter from the state to attend this class. Please see Mrs. Wainscott in Student Services for more information.
The first NHS chapter meeting of the year is Thursday in Horton Hall at 7:25 AM or 2:55 PM. Be sure to attend one. This is only for members inducted last year.
Applications for membership in the National Honor Society are due no later than 8:00 AM tomorrow to the black folder in the hallway outside Room 210. Applicants must also ask two former teachers to fill out the online recommendation by Wednesday.
If you are interested in slaying dragons, casting spells, and otherwise destroying evil throughout the fantasy universe, join the St. X Dungeons and Dragons Club. We will have our first meeting today at 3:20 PM in Room 209. No experience necessary. See Mr. Willman for details.
WSTX will have its first meeting after school tomorrow in the back of the CMC. Freshmen and new students are always welcome!

Are you interested in developing your musical talents as a singer? Plan to join other St. X singers in chorus or in the choral music class offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings before school. There will be a 20 minute meeting in Room 307 after school today to discuss both of these activities. We extend a special invitation to all FRESHMEN. The National ART Honors Society is looking for new and renewing members. If you are interested in creating art, then we are looking for interested artists to help us with this year's service through art. Attention Juniors and Seniors: Any Junior or Senior interested in attending one of the Service Academies are invited to a Service Academy Information Fair at Western Kentucky University on Thursday evening, August 31st. Please sign up in the Guidance Office by tomorrow if you are interested. Senator Rand Paul and Congressman Brett Guthrie are the hosts. Parents are also invited.
Any Senior, Junior, or Sophomore interested in playing Fall Baseball should attend an informational meeting today after school at 3:00 PM in the Baseball Locker Room. If you cannot attend the meeting, see Coach Porta or Coach Cottrell.

Any Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior who is interested in participating in preseason Basketball conditioning must attend a brief meeting tomorrow at 3:00 PM in the Wills Center. This meeting is for students not involved in a fall sport. See Coach Klein if you have any questions.
The Mueller Weight Center is open to all students for open lift on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons until 4:30 PM. Students must wear workout clothes, especially athletic shoes, in addition to following all other rules to use the facility. See Coach Tronzo in the Mueller Weight Center if any questions.
Attention Fishermen! The St. X Bass Fishing Team will have an interest meeting and sign up tomorrow in Room 106 from 3:00 to 3:15 PM. All new and returning team members should be in attendance. We will discuss the season and set a date for our first meeting at Long Run Park. See or email Mr. Yarborough at email@example.com with questions.
Attention all students interested in participating in the Saint Xavier Ice Hockey program this year. There will be an important meeting for all students and parents in the auditorium on Thursday evening at 6:30 PM. If you plan to participate in hockey this year, make plans to attend this meeting.
Any Lacrosse player interested in off-season workouts, who is not currently involved in a fall sport, should meet with Coach Howe and Coach Tronzo Friday morning at 7:15 AM in the Mueller Weight Center.
