From June 24 through July 1, a group of students and faculty volunteered their time in poverty-stricken Belize helping a family establish a home. Twelve students and two adults travelled to Belize City and constructed a home for a man and his two children, ages 13 and 7. The St. X volunteers purchased supplies for and constructed a 16-foot by 16-foot home for this family. The cost of the trip was funded in small part with the help of $6,000 raised by the St. X community. Additionally, the St. X group was able to purchase bunk beds for the children and a dining room table and chairs. Participants were Cameron Ubben '12 and Dylan Vish '12, seniors Eli Kramer, Sam Lavey, and Parker Thieneman, and juniors Patrick George, Orion Johns, Will Ostertag, John Shewmaker, Ross Vessels, Andrew Willet, and Dean Yoder. The students were accompanied by Theology teacher, Rosanna Vessels, and St. X chaplain, Fr. Anthony Vinson.
