Bass Fishing Earns KHSAA Regional Title
Congratulations to Luke Miller, David Brewer, Evan Bale, and Carter O’Brien who were the winning foursome at the KHSAA Regional Bass Fishing Tournament on April 7th. With three keepers weighing a total of 10 lbs. 7 ozs. the Tigers earned the victory by nearly three pounds. The team now advances to the first ever KHSAA State Championship at Kentucky Lake on April 26th and 27th.
Wrestling Tigers Back on Top!
Congratulations to the Tiger Wrestling team, 2013 KHSAA State Champions! Justin Lampe ’14 (145 lb.) and Hunter French ’13 (160 lb.) earned individual titles and Coach Jim Kraeszig is the 2013 Kentucky Wrestling Coach of the Year. Also placing at the state tournament were AJ Binder ’16 (3rd at 106 lb.), Max Korphage ’14 (8th at 120lb.), Nathan Haddad ’15 (8th at 126 lb.), Dominic Lampe ’15 (2nd at 152l lb.), Noah Bauer ’13 (2nd at 170 lb.), Brandon Pledger ’13 (2nd at 182 lb.), and Konner Thompson ’13 (2nd at 195 lb.).
Swimmers and Divers Capture 25th Consecutive Title
Congratulations to the Tiger Swimming and Diving team as it captured its 25th consecutive KHSAA state championship, the longest championship streak in the nation! The Tigers earned individual championships by Robert Leasure in the 200 Yard IM and Mitchell Forde in the 100 Yard Freestyle. The 200 yard medley relay team of Robert Leasure, Nick Sehlinger, Heyward Harrison, and Garrett Stephens established a new state record, while the 200 yard freestyle relay team of Mitchell Forde, Rush Cromer, Ryan McMillen, and Garrett Stephens was also victorious.
