Band and Music Ensembles
Saint Xavier has a long standing tradition of academic, athletic, and artistic excellence. We were cited as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 1984, 1989 and 1993, by the U.S. Department of Education. We offer extensive Advanced Placement and Honors programs for students in many subject areas. The Music Department is comprised of five divisions:

The Music Department is known for its diversity of opportunities within the academic day, as well as after school. Students receive training from several highly qualified and respected educators who are excellent working musicians in the region.
The ensembles offered by Saint Xavier include:
Other academic opportunities include AP Music Theory, Beginning Music Theory, and Introduction to Music History.
We include young ladies from our sister schools in most of our after school ensembles. They are a vital part of our music and drama departments.
Many students from Saint Xavier High School have participated in All-State Band and Choir, Concert festivals, Solo and Ensemble festival, and University Invitational Band and Choir festivals. Our students also provide music for school worship services throughout the year.
