Shillelagh Cup Golf Challenge  - Audubon Country Club

Each year, on the Monday preceding the St. X –Trinity football game, alumni from both schools swing for bragging rights.  Join us Monday, September 27 at Audubon Country Club for the 11th annual Shillelagh Cup.  The event is a match-play competition modeled after the Ryder Cup.  We’re looking for talented golfers to compete in two-ball and four-ball matches.  All participants must have a current USGA handicap.  The cost is $140 per player and includes golf, cart, dinner, range balls and Under Armour shirt.  Shotgun start is at 1:00 p.m.  For more information, click Shillelagh Cup or contact Kelly Stratman via email or at 637-8485.  Register Online.

The Alumni Hall of Honors recognizes a group of distinguished graduates each year.  These accomplished alumni are a credit to their profession, family, and to Saint Xavier High School.  The men being recognized for their professional or athletic accomplishments are: Tighe A. Brown ’95; Paul G. Byrd ’88**; Robert M. Curtis ’03; Robert A. Faller ’57; Bradley P. Hambrick ’97; Glenn H. Hubbuch ’63; Robert L. Jones, Jr. ’76; George H. Raque, Jr., M.D. ’72; and Patrick T. Vadden ’92

**Paul Byrd ’88 was selected for induction in 2004, but deferred due to his professional baseball career.  Paul will be recognized with the Class of 2010.

St. X vs. Manual Football (Senior Night)

7:30 p.m.

The 2009 state championship Tigers will host Manual at Brother Thomas More Page Stadium.  Game ticket are are $5 each.  The Alumni Hall of Honors inductees will be recognized at half time.

Water Polo Match – Alumni vs. Students

Saturday, October 16

1:00 p.m.

The 2nd annual water polo match will take place in St. X’s Hubbuch Natatorium from 1-3:00 p.m.  Admission is free for spectators.  To join the roster for the Alumni team, contact Head Coach Todd Larkin ’86.

Alumni Mass and Legacy Cookout

Sunday, October 17

11:15 a.m. Legacy Cookout & Cornhole Registration

12:00 p.m. Legacy Cornhole Tournament (double elimination)

Rev. Clyde Crews ’62 (1990 St. X Outstanding Alumnus) will celebrate Mass in the St. X chapel. All graduates and family members are invited.

Alumni dads and their currently enrolled St. X sons are invited to Mass and the annual Legacy Cookout and Cornhole Tournament.  Alumni grandfathers are welcome to participate, as well.  Tournament registration is limited to the first 64 father/son or grandfather/grandson teams.  All participants receive a T-shirt.
