The goal of the Culinary Club is to encourage young men to get involved and interested in cooking. The Club is led by FLIK Chefs Jim Hunnicutt and Nick Sundberg. At the beginning of the year, the students choose the cuisine about which they would like to learn and the chefs from FLIK generate various items from those ideas, talk about the cultural aspects of food and let the students prepare the food. Students get to eat what they prepare. The chefs teach and refine the culinary skills of the members and the young cooks practice their craft at regular meetings. They prepare the food for the World Languages Dinner, Empty Bowls fundraiser and Open House. In the final activity of the year, the Tiger chefs prepare an extraordinary meal for their parents.
