Biology Teacher

DIGITAL MARKETING INTERN

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Intern to join our team this summer. In this internship, the Digital Marketing Intern will assist with social media and web marketing. Working under the direction of the Communications Coordinator, the intern will carry out tasks related to the school's social media accounts, including the opportunity to help build the athletic department's social media strategy and assist with the school's website redesign.

Must be a current college student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.

Assistant Crew Coach

Summary 

Saint Xavier, a Catholic secondary school sponsored by the Xaverian Brothers, has remained faithful to the Xaverian legacy since 1864. Last year, the Saint Xavier Crew (Rowing) Club team was started and enjoyed much success in the first year, including: 

A first season roster of 22 rowers 

3 regional fall competitions 

2 winter indoor competitions with medals in several categories 

We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary individual that is willing to come alongside the current  coach to build a lasting legacy of rowing at Saint Xavier. The position does NOT require experience or expertise in rowing and is estimated to be 10 hours per week. The highly motivated candidate can also consider this an opportunity to learn to become a rowing coach and have that skill for the rest of their careers. Rowing expertise will come through on-the-job training. 

Duties & Responsibilities 

Work with the head coach to build and maintain team rosters. 

Coordinate with the school athletic department to maintain proper safety and eligibility documentation. 

Coordinate logistics for competitions, including schedules, equipment preparation, and volunteer/parent organization. 

Work with “team parent” to communicate with parents on schedule changes and event logistics. 

Build and maintain a volunteer schedule for practices and events. Work with the head coach to recruit and train volunteers. 

Participate with the head coach in running practices to maintain safe practice conditions as needed.  

Other duties as assigned.  

Requirements 

High school diploma or equivalent 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. 

Strong organizational skills and a willingness to hone existing skills and learn new ones 

Previous coaching experience of any sort is a plus, but not required
