As of Friday, March 27, 2020, all school offices will be closed for a ten-day period due to the Governor’s executive order for non-essential business. Although, members of the leadership team, teachers, and guidance counselors will work remotely throughout this time, and will respond to electronic communications.
Following Governor Beshear’s recommendation that Kentucky schools remained closed until Monday, April 20, Saint Xavier is following the Archdiocese of Louisville's recommendation to do the same.
Students have received detailed instructions on the Non-Traditional School Day. All campus programs including athletics and extracurricular activities will be canceled until further notice.
Tiger Athletics Information:
In order to provide opportunities to cancel out of town travel arrangements in a manner that will cause the least impact on families and the school, St. X has canceled all out of state travel and competition effective immediately. This includes all activities that are scheduled to occur through April 30, 2020.
Out-of-state opponents who are scheduled to compete with St. X in home contests will be notified that all games are canceled through April 11, 2020. This cancelation policy may be extended to include competitions through April 30, 2020 if necessary.
All athletic activities are canceled for all teams. No practice, no competition, no workouts.
All active athletic programs, both in-season and out-of-season, are expected to remove all team and personal items from locker rooms and team areas prior to leaving school on Friday, March 13, 2020 if you have not already done so.
In addition, with full school closure also announced for Saint Xavier:
- All athletic team activities will be suspended until further notice. This includes any and all workouts, meetings, practices, and HOME and AWAY competitions either on or off campus.
- Coaches will communicate additional team information as necessary.
These procedures are necessary to promote the health and well-being of all of us, both students and adults.
