College Application Boot Camp

Join the college counseling team for a two-day morning workshop designed to help rising seniors get a jump start on the college application process. Students will gain vital tips from navigating Naviance to request transcripts and letters of recommendation to learning the ins and outs of campus visits.  They will also work closing with our AP English teachers to begin drafting their college essay, in addition to begin work on their Common Application.

College Application Workshop - Only For Seniors 2024

Part 1 – College Application Process

Join the college counseling team for this two-day workshop to help seniors get a jump start on the college application process. Day 1, students will learn tips vital to the college application process, including learning to navigate Naviance as they request transcripts and letters of recommendation. Students will work directly with St. X AP English teachers as they explore topics for their college essay. In addition, they will hear from a College Admissions Representative that will provide advice on campus visits and more.

Part 2 – College Essays 

Day 2, students will begin working on their Common Application, as well as participate in a session to work closely with an AP English teacher to begin a rough draft on their college essay.
