*Please contact the admissions office at 502-634-2145 to schedule a time to take the Placement Test.*
The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is the first step in the admission process for current 8th grade students. All students requesting admission to St. X are required to take the test for appropriate placement in one of five customized academic programs offered. The placement test is only one of many steps taken to accurately place our students. St. X is committed to working with our families and previous schools to ensure we make the best transition to high school for each young man.
The test is FREE of charge.
Each tester will need to have a device equipped with a web browser to access the test.
Arrangements can be made for students not having a reliable device or internet service. These students should contact the Admissions Office at 502.634.2145.
The online version will be condensed to two sections of the traditional test and will last approximately one hour.
The remote test will only be one factor to determine merit scholarships.
More information on a new scholarship and the necessary qualifications will be released in January.
Students approved for extended time or additional accommodations will have the option to test remotely or at St. X during the scheduled test time.
Students who have been approved with a documented need for extended time will be contacted by Dr. Beatriz Pacheco with additional information.
Dr. Pacheco is our Learning Differences Coordinator and will ensure your son gets the appropriate accommodations for this test and throughout his four years. Please contact Dr. Pacheco with any additional requests or questions by email or 502.637.4712 ext. 252.
We are so excited for the Class of 2025 to join the St. X brotherhood.
We recognize that the cost of an independent catholic school education is significant and that many families will make sacrifices to send their son to St. X. Therefore, we make every effort to assist admitted families with the financial commitments involved in financing a St. X education through our comprehensive scholarship and financial assistance program.
After receiving an acceptance letter, all families must a submit an application and a $100 registration fee.
Placement Test results and information regarding curriculum and recommended course placement will be available at the Course Registration Night. This evening will also provide you the opportunity to discuss questions with various staff and faculty members.
*The application process will be available February 9, 2021.
