ACT Prep
SUMMER ACT PREP 2025
WHEN: June 9-12, 2025 (optional practice test morning of June 13)

WHERE: St. X Classrooms... Drop off will be in the Circle/Parking in Senior Lot.
COST: $375 (course fee includes a new test prep book)
NOTE: The class will max out at 100 students per session.
Prepare for success on the ACT! Six experienced St. X teachers will present test preparation courses for the ACT, which provide students with familiarization, strategies, and tips for better performance on this summer’s ACT. First-time test takers and those looking to raise already-received scores can benefit from this teacher-peer review of material.
● We use a current Princeton Review prep book while doing focused review work.
● Multiple sample tests will be taken and scores will be interpreted to help determine where improvement can occur.
● The atmosphere is informal (shorts and t-shirt are acceptable).
● #2 pencils and a calculator are required!
This year, the ACT will be administered on June 14 (immediately and conveniently following our ACT test prep course).
NOTE: You must sign your son/daughter up for the ACT on your own. Go to ACT.org and create an account! We strongly recommend PAPER / WITHOUT WRITING.
Baseball

Camp Format – Current and former St. X coaches and players will work together to improve your baseball skills. The camp will focus on teaching the fundamentals of pitching, base running, hitting, throwing and fielding. All camp activities will be conducted at Saint Xavier High School. In addition to two full-size fields, our facilities include indoor/outdoor batting cages, indoor/outdoor pitching mounds, and access to a gym in the event of inclement weather.
Camp Information – The cost of the camp is $130. Campers will receive a T-shirt and accident insurance. Players should provide their own gloves, bats, and equipment, if applicable. Campers should also bring a pair of baseball shoes (no metal spikes allowed) and tennis shoes with them to camp each day.

Camp Format – The camp will stress individual and team defensive and offensive fundamentals. Saint Xavier players and coaches will be on hand to assist with instruction and training. Daily games and contests will be played. Speakers will address the areas of academics, self-motivation, and how to become a better basketball player.
We will continue to host two Kindergarten – 4th grade camps. Campers in this age group will learn the fundamentals of the game while playing on 8-foot baskets and using intermediate basketballs. It’s never too early to develop a passion for the game!
Graduation will take place on the last day. Come join the fun this summer and work hard learning to improve your game!

Camp Information-Are you a basketball player who is looking for a great opportunity to improve your game? Look no further than our player development academy. This experience will provide an environment to set you apart from your competition. Campers will be pushed to be their best while receiving instruction and performing drills that we use in our high school program. Additional areas that will be covered include strength and athleticism, nutrition, mental toughness, the importance of perfecting your role within the TEAM concept, and making the transition to high school basketball. Space is limited to the first 60 campers. The cost of the camp is $80.
SHOOTING CAMP

Shooting is one of the most important parts of the game, although it is rarely taught correctly. Come enjoy two action-packed days filled with learning the proper way to shoot a basketball. Lectures, demonstrations, drills, video, and mechanics used by the world’s best shooters will be used to teach your son how to correctly shoot the basketball. Our goal is to teach each camper proper repetition of good mechanics that will develop the muscle memory needed to become a consistent shooter. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to improve your game in the off-season!

Broadcasting
Broadcasting Camp 2025

This camp will give you an in-depth look at what it’s like to put together and run a live news broadcast. Students will create their own newscast, including finding content, programming the show, and then broadcasting it live. The first part of the week, students will learn what goes into a newscast, including terminology, structure, and the various jobs. For the second half of the week, students will select content, assemble that content into a live news broadcast, and operate all the different elements of the studio and control room to broadcast their work. Various jobs, including anchor(s), meteorologist, and sportscaster will be assigned. Some students will also be assigned to run cameras, audio, teleprompter, graphics, media players, and switcher. The week will culminate with a live, student-produced newscast, and each student will receive a recording.
Seminar Information – The cost of the seminar is $150. The dress is casual, but neat. Shorts and tennis shoes are acceptable. All materials will be provided.

Coding
Coding Games in Scratch 2025

Camp Format – This camp will introduce graphical coding skills through SCRATCH programming. Some basic electronics ideas, including linear circuits, and digital switches will be explored to customize controllers. Campers will learn to code their own games and animated stories, and then create customized controllers with USB Makey-Makey boards.
Camp Information – The cost of the camp is $160. A computer will be provided to use during the camp.

Cross Country
CROSS COUNTRY 2025

Join the Saint Xavier Cross Country team - 2020 Kentucky State Champions and two-time runners up in ’21 and ‘22 - for a week of fun-filled training, games, and education about the sport of cross country. Coaches and Team Captains will teach the latest training techniques, including the importance of dynamic warm ups, pacing, teamwork, nutrition, and injury prevention. Running games, interval workouts, tempo runs, and race strategy will benefit both beginner and experienced runners.
Highlights of the camp will include team challenges, running form analysis, and a race at the end of camp. Camp will conclude with team and individual race awards, as well as an ice-cream celebration. All campers will receive a t-shirt and a daily treat, along with video analysis of their running stride and a certificate of completion.
Any student entering 5th-9th grade who is interested in one of the oldest and fastest-growing high school sports in the country is invited to attend.
The cost of the camp is $130. Campers should wear running shorts, running shoes, and a t-shirt. They should also bring a towel and a water bottle. We will meet at Gate 1 toward the back of the parking lot by the football field.

Cryptocurrency
Saving, Investing, and Cryptocurrency for Beginners Camp 2025

Camp Format: The 4-day Saving, Investing, and Cryptocurrency for Beginners Camp will teach students the fundamentals of financial literacy. Students will learn the benefits of saving money for the future versus spending it today, analyze the risks and rewards of various types of investments, compete in a one-week stock market game, and discover different forms of money, including cryptocurrency. Students will participate in a variety of engaging activities with fellow campers to develop a better understanding of the financial world and an appreciation for making better decisions with their own money.

Triple Threat Tigers: Act, Dance, and Sing on the St. X Stage!

On the Friday of camp, students will showcase their talents in a fantastic performance for family and friends on the St. X Stage! eSports Camp 2025

Super Smash Brothers SOLD OUT.
Camp Format: The 4-day eSports camp will focus on Rocket League, Super Smash Brothers, and Mario Kart. Students will work on their play, strategy and technical skills required to compete in gaming. Students will have the ability to work with an eSports coach in the renovated gaming room and will gain the ability to take their gameplay to the next level through this experience!
Camp Information: The cost of the camp is $175. Campers will take home a Saint X eSports t-shirt. We are accepting 20 students for Rocket League and 10 students for Super Smash Brothers/Mario Kart. Campers signing up for Rocket League will be required to bring a controller and have an Epic Games account sign-in. Those who sign up for Super Smash Brothers/Mario Kart will need to bring their own Nintendo Switch with both games installed.

Camp Format – St. X Tigers Football Camp is the premier non-contact camp that stresses football fundamentals for all offensive and defensive positions. St. X coaches and players will work with campers to develop proper understanding and the technique it takes to play each position. Campers will also concentrate on basic tackling and blocking techniques as well as learning team concepts with more in depth 7-on-7 play. In addition, each camper will be introduced to a basic strength training regimen and permitted to work out in one of the largest and best-equipped weight and fitness complexes in the state. Freshman Strength and Conditioning Program
INCOMING FRESHMAN STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM 2025

Program Format - This program is open to ALL SAINT XAVIER REGISTERED, INCOMING FRESHMAN. This is a great first step for getting involved and meeting your future brothers! This program will introduce and teach fundamental strength movements, speed and agility drills, conditioning methods, and stretching regimens. Students will also be given an “at-home” program weekly to be completed as homework. This program will incorporate universal athletic components and promote overall physical fitness, making it beneficial for every student!
Program Information - The cost of the program is $130. Everyone should wear athletic shorts, t-shirt, and running/athletic shoes. Cleats are optional, but can be brought in addition to running/athletic shoes. All sessions will be held inside Brother Thomas More Page Stadium (if weather permits), and in the Mueller Weight Center. Drop off and pick up is at the main circle. Everyone who registers before March 13 will receive a t-shirt; specific to the Class of 2029.

Golf
GOLF CAMP 2025
When: June 3-6 (9:00 AM-12:00 PM)

Where: Different Strokes - River Road
Cost: $200 per camper
Golf Camp will cover all aspects of the golf game from the shortest putt to the longest drive. We will accept golfers from every level of experience - beginner to competitive. Grades 3 through 8 are welcome.
Current Saint Xavier golfers will join Coach Finney to deliver the instruction during the four day camp. Each session will be a blend of instruction and competitive challenges. If your junior golfer has his/her own equipment, please have them bring it with them. Golf shirts, shorts, and tennis shoes are encouraged. Golf shoes obviously would work also. Please have each junior golfer wear a hat and bring a nice sized water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the morning.
The camp will be limited to 50 junior golfers and we will have a minimum of 7 counselors/instructors on hand to keep the kids safe and teach them some golf.

Camp Information: Improve your knowledge and sharpen your buzzer skills at Quick Recall camp. Sessions will include lessons and online, interactive games to impart key Quick Recall knowledge in all the Governor's Cup content areas, as well as coaching and strategy on the buzzers. Mainstream games such as basketball, kickball, and indoor soccer will be met with flashball, dodgeball, weight training, mat ball, wiffle ball and others. Whether you are a competitive athlete or just looking to have fun, this camp is for you!

St. X Rock Band camp will be open to vocalists and instrumentalists who play guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, wind, and brass. We will cover some songs and do some improvising. The camp will be a skill building experience for students who have some previous experience playing their instrument and wanting to develop their individual and ensemble playing. This will also be a great opportunity to get to know more about the St. X music department and how to get involved with the various opportunities available here.

Camp Format – Come experience championship soccer! The camp will focus on the development of individual skills, team tactics and strategies in order to let the player develop individually, and become an important member of a team. A special goalie division will be available focusing on specialized skills and strategies of goalkeeping. All camp activities will be conducted at Saint Xavier High School. In the event of a rain out, Fridays are reserved as makeup days.

Swim
SWIM 2025
The coaches at Saint Xavier would like to invite all swimmers ages 10 and up to participate in this summer’s “Arena Tiger Swim Camp”. There is limited space for this camp. Join our elite coaching staff this summer to enhance your skills in the pool and become a champion in the water. Swimmers must have a knowledge of the four competitive strokes and will be placed according to skill level. Swimmers will have the opportunity to improve their skills in each individual stroke using video analysis, as well as learn to execute competitive starts and turns under direction of Head Coach Todd Larkin and his elite staff. The Tiger Swim Camp provides a safe, fun, positive learning environment for swimmers of various backgrounds to improve their swimming skills and technique. All sessions will take place at the Hubbuch Natatorium located on the Saint Xavier High School Campus.
Camp format: Sessions focus on stroke specific technique, the final 45 minutes of each day focuses on turns and race strategies.

Cost: $200
Training Center Format—Daily workouts will be conducted and planned by Coach Dan Martin and veteran Coach Don Isaacs. Recent and current St. X tennis players will also aid in instruction. Each day will emphasize all facets of the game: ground strokes, volleys, serves, returns, and specialized strokes, as well as the physical and mental discipline it takes to become a competitive player. We will focus on a different aspect of the game every day, including tactics and sportsmanship. Our competitive, live-ball drills are designed for match play situations and maximum player-on-player contact. Each day will end with match play by levels with on-court coaching.
Because we want to provide a first-rate training experience, we will limit Tiger Tennis Training to the first 28 players.
With your participation you will receive: a dry-fit T-shirt that campers proudly wear, an end of camp luncheon, and insurance necessary to participate.
This training center is designed for all level players. Middle school age players are encouraged to sign up, as well as those entering St X as freshman next year and returning freshman players or St. X students.

Mr. Hilbert will teach your son how to study, how to plan, and how to navigate the new schedules that they will see once they reach secondary education. After a week, high school won't seem nearly as scary!
Camp Information – The cost of the camp is $100. Campers can wear shorts, T-shirts, and comfortable shoes. Campers may be dropped off at the circle starting at 12:30 PM.

Vex Robotics
Vex Robotics Camp 2025

Camp Format – This camp will introduce students to programming, engineering, project based problem solving, and game theory through the popular VEX Robotics EDR platform. This is the same platform used in our school Robotics class.
Camp topics include programming, sensors, mechanical design, and control systems.

Volleyball
VOLLEYBALL 2025

Camp format - This camp will focus on the fundamentals of individual volleyball skills and incorporate them into team offensive and defensive strategies. Athletes will be trained in all areas of the game: passing, hitting, digging, blocking, serving, and setting. Participants will be divided into teams for the total team experience. Former players and current coaches will coach these camps.
Camp information – The cost of the 4-day camp is $130. Players are to wear tennis, basketball or volleyball shoes and bring a water bottle. Camp Format – Our camps will emphasize fundamental skills and systems in all wrestling positions and are designed to improve skill levels for any age athlete. Whether you are a serious and experienced wrestler, or a beginner looking for one-on-one instruction, this camp is for you.

· Efren Quirino (2x MS State Champion coach & Head Coach, St. Xavier)
Our staff will instruct and motivate wrestlers to achieve their highest potential on and off the mat.
Camp Information-
Campers should bring wrestling shoes (or gym shoes), t-shirt, shorts and a pair of shoes that can be worn for outside conditioning or for weight lifting. Campers should also bring a water jug. Space is limited so register early.
