Camp Format – Open to girls and boys, the camp will use the standard NASP model to instruct archers. The National Archery in the Schools Program requires a Basic Archery Instructor certified individual to teach campers in the 11 steps of Archery to properly knock, draw, anchor, aim, and release an arrow on a safe archery range. All camper archers shall use the varsity indoor range in the Sterne Gymnasium and the outdoor range down by the tennis courts in the grass. Rules of the range and the normal whistle commands will be employed. Gradual practice at increasing distances while having fun with various teams and targeting games will make the arrows and the time fly by. Proper technique will be encouraged and a scoring tournament round of 1 practice end and 3 ends at 10 meters then 1 practice end and 3 ends at 15 meters with 5 arrows per end will occur on the last day of the week to show your parents what you can do in competition!
All the equipment needed will be provided; including the right or left handed bows, arrows, targets, clipboards, pencils and scorecards. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the week to all camper archers as well as the coveted golden arrow to the tournament winners. If the archer camper has their own bow, they are allowed to bring it and shoot with it as long as it is the standard NASP Genesis bow.
Camp Information – The cost of the camp is $125 for a 3-hour session for 4 days. Campers should wear shorts, tennis shoes, T-shirt, and a hat. We will walk, as a group, between archery ranges as necessary. We will start our day at the drop off circle.

The coaches at Saint Xavier would like to invite all swimmers ages 10 and up to participate in this summer’s “TYR Tiger Swim Camp”. There is limited space for this camp. Join our elite coaching staff this summer to enhance your skills in the pool and become a champion in the water. Swimmers must have a knowledge of the four competitive strokes and will be placed according to skill level. Swimmers will have the opportunity to improve their skills in each individual stroke using video analysis, as well as learn to execute competitive starts and turns under direction of Head Coach Todd Larkin and his elite staff. The Tiger Swim Camp provides a safe, fun, positive learning environment for swimmers of various backgrounds to improve their swimming skills and technique.
Camp format: Sessions focus on stroke specific technique, the final 45 minutes of each day focuses on turns and race strategies.
All sessions will take place at the Hubbuch Natatorium located on the St. X Campus.

Tennis training - COED
July 11-14 and July 18-21 - $375 (8-day clinic)
9:00 - 12:00 PM
6th - 10th graders
Registration will close July 7 |
Cost: $375 for two weeks, and $190 for one week
Training Center Format: Daily workouts will be conducted and planned by Coach Gil Downs, Assistant Coach Don Isaacs, and Assistant Coach Dan Martin. Each day will emphasize all facets of the game: ground strokes, volleys, serves, returns, and specialized strokes, as well as the physical and mental discipline it takes to become a competitive player. We will focus on a different aspect of the game every day, including tactics and sportsmanship. Our competitive, live-ball drills are designed for match play situations and maximum player-on-player contact. Each day will end with match play by levels with on court coaching.
Because we want to provide a first-rate training experience, we will limit the TTT to the first 24 players. The camp will be cancelled if fewer than 10 players sign up.
With your participation you will receive: a dry-fit T-shirt that campers proudly wear, an end of camp luncheon, and insurance necessary to participate.
This training center is designed for all level players. Middle school age players are encouraged to sign up, as well as those entering St X as freshman next year and returning freshman players or St. X students.
This is a coed clinic, so if you have played or plan to play high school tennis, this clinic would be a good fit for you.
If you have any questions, feel free to email Coach Gil Downs.
