  • Founded by the Xaverian Brothers in 1864
  • Saint Xavier graduated its first official class in 1873
    • First Graduate was Francis Menne, Class of 1873 
  • Alumni Association Founded in 1884
    • More than 27,000 graduates living in all 50 states and 25+ foreign countries
  • The Poplar Level campus opened in 1961, moving after decades at the 118 West Broadway campus. 
  • St. X is the only Kentucky high school to have earned the US Department of Education’s Blue Ribbon Award four times. 
  • The first sport team to form at St. X was baseball in the year 1909. 
  • St. X boasts 250 State Championship Teams
    • Most state titles than any other high school within the state
  • The Xaverian Brothers’ network of schools includes 13 schools, 13,000+ students, 1,000 faculty and staff, and 300 trustees.

    • The Class of 2021 includes 46 2nd generation, 54 3rd generation, 37 4th generation, and five 5th generation graduates.

    • Two students received appointments to competitive U.S. Military Academies.  

  • 5 individuals with perfect ACT scores

  • 19,505 service hours to the local community over the past four years. That's equivalent to 2,438 eight-hour work days.

  • 959 scholarships received from 160 colleges/universities and the National Merit Corporation valued at more than $46.5 million dollars

  • Kentucky Governor's Scholars

  • 4 students chosen for Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts

  • 14 recognized by the National Merit Corporation

    • Only Catholic boys school to have students recognized by the National Merit Corporation.

  • 43 student-athletes commit to play at the collegiate level. These young men will compete in 11 different sports at 25 different colleges and universities. 

    • 5 team state championships: Cross Country, Soccer, and Swimming and Diving, Volleyball, Lacrosse

    • individual state championships were won: Bowling, Wrestling, and Swimming and Diving (5). 

  • The Class of 2021 was accepted to 188 colleges and universities.

  • 84 seniors contributed to the Annual Fund through their senior class gift campaign.
