100 Days of St. X History

It will be a historic season for Saint Xavier Football in the fall of 2018 as the program will field its 100th squad on the gridiron. May 9th marks 100 days until the 2018 season kickoff for the 100th season of Saint Xavier Football, and St. X Athletics will take Tiger Nation down memory lane leading up to the season opener against DeSales on August 17.

 

DAY 10 (August 7)

The 2000’s featured a program-best 119 total wins, two state championships and three state runner-up finishes.

Additionally, the Tigers had 30 total shutouts and outscored opponents 4,960-1,471. #TNG

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


DAY 9 (August 8)

The Tigers held off a fourth-quarter rally from Ballard to seal the 35-34 victory for the program’s 700th win in 2010.
 
Tiger defense scored two touchdowns, a 52-yard pick-six and a blocked punt touchdown. #TNG

 

 

 

 

 

 


DAY 8 (August 9)

 

The Tigers won its 1000th game on a PAT in triple overtime.

Austin Davis’ 4-yard touchdown run and Brad Schickel’s extra-point kick lifted St. X to a 49-48 victory over Dutch Fork in the Bluegrass Football Showcase.

The dramatic win marked the first triple overtime in program history. #TNG

 


DAY 7 (August 10)

After 31 years as head coach, Glaser retired following the 2012 season.

Glaser won 7 state championships, secured 4 state runner-up finishes and played or coached in 47 of the 100 seasons of St. X football. #TNG
