Coach Info
Head Coach - Roy Elmore
Head Coach Roy Elmore will enter his 2nd season as the leader of the Freshman Tigers and his 9th season coaching in the St. Xavier Football Program. Roy coached in dual capacity for 4 years as a Varsity wide receivers coach and as the Track & Field sprints coach. Under his tutelage, St. Xavier sprinters contributed greatly in winning the 2019 3A State Track & Field Championship, while in the same season, setting three school records in the 4 x 100 meter, 4 x 200 meter and 4 x 400 meter relays. During his first year with the football program, Coach Elmore was serving in the military as an Army Chief Warrant Officer stationed at Fort Knox, KY. He is also a Certified Personal Trainer, licensed through the American Council of Exercise, and specializes in Sports Conditioning and Fitness Training.
Coach Elmore earned a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master of Science degree in Information Systems Technology Management during his time in the military and beyond. He retired after 25 years of service to our country and received the Legion of Merit, which is awarded for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding service and achievement.
Coach Elmore is originally from Tulsa, OK and is the proud father of 2 daughters, Paishence and Yunique Elmore. Paishence is a 2020 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and a former captain of the St. Xavier Cheer Team. She is currently a junior at the University of Kentucky in the College of Nursing and a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Yunique lives in Enterprise, Alabama enjoying a successful career in retail management. When not on the field, Coach Elmore works as a Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator and Kentucky Notary Loan Signing Agent. Roy and his special lady, Monica, enjoy traveling, music and relaxing with their families and friends.
