Coach Info
Greg Cambron – Head Archery Coach
Greg has been a member of the Saint Xavier Science Department faculty for 25 years. He currently teaches honors and academic physics. In addition to his teaching duties he has sponsors the astronomy club, the archery club, and runs the Archery Camp X in the summer. Greg first used a bow and arrow for projectile motion laboratories in his physics classes. He also has shot a carbon fiber ‘Robin Hood’ arrow into another which provided motivation to learn more and after a great response from the laboratory experience, his students encouraged him to start the Archery Club.
In 2014, under Greg’s guidance, the first Archery Team at St. X began participation as an official KHSAA and NASP sport. In addition to his years of longbow, recurve, and compound target experience, Greg holds both a Basic Archery Instructor certification and a Beyond NASP certificate. He enjoys the wide range of experience and abilities that instructing the team and club involves along with teaching the entire freshmen class every spring in PE.
Greg is married, lives just outside Utica, IN., and has 3 adult children Caitlin, Loretta, and Christian.

- For the first time in school history, the Tigers qualified for the KHSAA State Tournament with a runner-up finish at the 2022 Region 4 Tournament. Senior Nate Jarboe was the individual co-champion, shooting a 291.
- At the 2022 state tournament, the Tigers finished 7th, with Nate Jarboe finishing 14th individually.
