Overview
Join the College Counseling team for this two-day workshop designed to help rising seniors get a head start on the college application process. Students will gain practical tools, expert guidance, and hands-on experience to build confidence as they begin their applications.
Day 1 – College Application Process
Students will explore key components of the college application journey, including:
- Navigating Naviance to request transcripts and letters of recommendation
- Tips and strategies for the overall application process
- Working directly with St. X AP English teachers to brainstorm and explore college essay topics
- Hearing from a College Admissions Representative on campus visits and what colleges are looking for
Day 2 – College Essays & Applications
Students will focus on bringing their applications to life by:
- Beginning their Common Application
- Working closely with an AP English teacher to start a rough draft of their college essay
- Receiving individualized feedback and writing support

Direct Admit Program with Xavier University
Saint Xavier High School has partnered with Xavier University to offer a Direct Admissions program, giving students the opportunity to be accepted to a top university early.
- Stackable Scholarship: $1,831, renewable for all four years at Xavier.
- Early Action Deadline: November 1st, with notifications in mid-December.
- Test-Optional: No standardized testing required for all majors.
- No Application Fee: No additional writing required in the Common Application supplement.
