Rooted in Faith: St. X Students Serve Eastern Kentucky with Purpose
Earlier this summer, 17 Tigers, made up of current students and recent graduates, traveled to Auxier, Kentucky for the Appalachia Mission Trip with Hand in Hand Ministries. Joined by St. X faculty, they spent the week repairing homes and restoring hope for families impacted by the devastating Eastern Kentucky floods.
This experience wasn’t just about building structures—it was about living our mission. As a Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School, Saint Xavier is deeply rooted in its Catholic identity and guided by the values of compassion, humility, simplicity, trust, and zeal. The students who stepped up to serve didn’t do so for recognition. They did it because this is who we are.
At St. X, faith is not an add-on. It’s the foundation. Service opportunities like the Appalachia Mission Trip are intentional extensions of our mission to form young men who are prepared to lead, serve, and live with purpose. This is what it means to be a Tiger. This is what it means to be rooted in something greater.
