Ties That Bind: Welcoming the Class of 2030 into the St. X Brotherhood

Each year, a new class of Tigers begins its journey at Saint Xavier, not simply by entering a new school, but by becoming part of a community rooted in faith, brotherhood, and our Xaverian Catholic tradition.

During Freshman Orientation, the senior class welcomed the Class of 2030 by presenting each freshman with a St. X class tie during the Class Blessing and Welcome Reception. Now in its third year, the tradition offers a meaningful beginning to the freshman experience, with older students welcoming younger Tigers into a brotherhood built on shared values and a commitment to one another.

The “ties that bind us” represent more than the experiences, challenges, milestones, and memories these young men will share. They reflect the relationships at the heart of a St. X education, where young men are called to support one another, grow in faith and character, and recognize their responsibility to something greater than themselves.

For the Class of 2030, receiving that first St. X tie marks the beginning of four formative years. Guided by our Xaverian, Catholic identity, they will learn what it means to belong, to serve, and ultimately to extend that same welcome and brotherhood to the Tigers who follow them.
