Tiger Strong: Brotherhood in Action

At St. X, brotherhood is more than a word. It is something our students experience, build, and carry with them long after graduation.

The sophomore class recently came together for Tiger Strong, an annual experience centered on leadership, connection, and the understanding that Tigers take care of Tigers.

Senior student leaders helped guide the day, setting the tone through competition, camaraderie, and mentorship. By bringing seniors and sophomores together, Tiger Strong gives younger students an opportunity to learn from those who have already walked in their shoes while challenging seniors to lead and invest in the students who will follow them.

One of the most powerful moments of the day came from senior Wyatt Anderson, who shared his story with the sophomore class.

After suffering a severe cervical spinal cord injury in November 2025, Wyatt faced a long road of rehabilitation and recovery. Throughout that journey, his St. X brothers rallied around him.

Wyatt spoke about that support and the lessons his experience has taught him. He challenged students to continue pursuing their goals even when they may seem impossible and shared how a positive attitude can make a difference when facing adversity.

His message brought the purpose of Tiger Strong into focus: no St. X student faces life's challenges alone.

Following Wyatt's remarks, students took part in field day activities designed to build relationships, encourage teamwork, and strengthen the bonds within the sophomore class.

For current families, Tiger Strong is another example of the formation that takes place beyond the classroom. For prospective families, it offers a glimpse into what it means to become part of the St. X brotherhood. And for alumni and supporters, it reflects a tradition that continues from one generation of Tigers to the next.

The activities may last a day, but the lesson is intended to last much longer.

Tigers take care of Tigers. At St. X, no one stands alone.
