Attention Sophomores Going on the Crossroads Retreat Today: Please leave your homeroom immediately after announcements and meet in the Chapel.
There will NOT be Mass tomorrow.
Students who applied for the Jamaica trip are reminded to attend a meeting at 3:00 PM this afternoon in Room 112 if you did not attend this morning. The meeting will only last about 15 minutes.
There are several students who have not completed their service hours. You need to take responsibility for completing them. You have been offered over 120 service opportunities this year through Campus Ministry. Please complete them this weekend.
Kosair Shriners are looking for student volunteers to participate in the Derby Parade on Thursday, May 4th, from 4:30 until 7:00 PM. You will be walking alongside the float handing out Kazoos. Details are on X2Vol.
Volunteers are needed at Hand in Hand Ministries to sort toiletries after school this week.
There is one spot available for the Gethsemani project this Saturday from 7:45 AM until 2:00 PM.
We are looking for 5 more students to help with concessions at the Pink and White game. You will be able to see the halftime show. The Brother Borgia Track Meet also needs concession workers this Saturday.
The Ken-Ducky Derby race takes place this Saturday. 1,000 rubber ducks will race down the Ohio. Students are needed to help get the ducks out of the water from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
On Sunday Beargrass Christian Church is inviting students to help prepare meals for the homeless from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. All of these projects are listed on X2Vol. Students can either complete their service requirement or work toward next year’s goals. Sign-up today.
Attention AP Testers: You are reminded of the following items.
- You may NOT bring a cell phone into the testing area. Store them in your locker.
- Students in a morning exam must report to the testing room no later than 7:45 AM. Please report for an afternoon no later than 12:15 PM.
- Students who have both a morning and afternoon exam on the same day must bring a sack lunch. You will eat in your testing area. You will not be allowed to go to the cafeteria.
- Please bring several # 2 pencils and several black pens to the test.
- If your exam is in the morning, please eat lunch immediately after the exam or during your regular lunch period if it occurs after the exam.
- Students in an afternoon exam should go to lunch no later than 11:30 AM to allow time to eat before the exam begins.
- Students taking an afternoon exam in the upstairs gym should WAIT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS BY THE POOL UNTIL A PROCTOR COMES TO GET THEM.
All artwork from the art show should be picked up by 3:00 PM tomorrow from the girls’ dressing room.
Attention: All certified lifeguards in need of the Metro Louisville Water Test to become certified for summer make a note: St. X will hold two classes hosted by the board of health tomorrow or Monday, May 15th, from 3:15 to 5:30 PM. You only need to attend one. You must sign-up for these classes. Please stop by the pool or email Coach Larkin to register.
Attention Young Republicans! We will have a meeting in Room 207 today after school.
The Console Gaming Club will meet today after school in Room 132. All are welcome. Bring a game cube controller if you have one.
The History Club will meet after school tomorrow in Room 233. Yearbook photos will be taken.
The Culinary Club will meet after school on Monday, May 1st. We will be in the Faculty Dining Room.
Gentlemen, it is time to unite for the final time this year. We will celebrate the upcoming graduation of our seniors with a hearty breakfast tomorrow at 7:00 AM at the local Frisch's. As always, bring your $9 to cover the price of breakfast and the tip.
All Clay Club members are reminded we will meet today from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in Room 406. New members are always welcome.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: There is a job opportunity at Churchill Downs as parking attendants for the Oaks and Derby. You must be 18 years of age. You will work 12 to 16 hours each day. The pay is $10 an hour plus tips. Starting time is before dawn and ending at 6:00 or 7:00 PM. These positons will fill fast—first come / first serve. You may get the information for the phone number and on-line application in the Guidance Office.
Junior NHS members are reminded that we will meet today at 2:55 PM in Horton Hall in the CMC for those who were unable to attend this morning’s meeting. You only need to attend one meeting.
NHS Juniors are also reminded that final service hours for the year are due no later than this Sunday, April 30th, on X2Vol.
The Freshmen Baseball team swept a double-header over Bullitt East last night by scores of 6-2 and 14-4. Saturday the Tigers travel to South Oldham for an 11:00 AM match up.
Congratulations to the Varsity Tennis Team in their 5-0 win yesterday versus Henry Clay. The Varsity was led by singles wins for Drew Singerman and Alex Wesbrooks. The doubles teams of Will Stuckert with Adam Hardin, Andy Keal with Bo Bush and Preston Cameron with Spencer Blandford also recorded wins. The team record now stands at 18 -2. They next play this weekend in The Lexington Ohio Invitational Tournament.
