French

French Club is open to anyone with an interest in French culture.  Typical activities include French food tasting, Mardi Gras celebration, and International French Week festivities. French Club members also participate in the annual International Dinner.

The Saint Xavier chapter of the national Société Honoraire de Français is for students with a sustained record of excellence in French. A ceremony to induct eligible students is held each spring. Members who take French class through their senior year are eligible for cords to wear at graduation.

The French Scrabble team plays in a league with other private and public schools from October to March. Students in French 1 and 2 play junior varsity while all other students play on the varsity team.
