Math Team

Math Team is an opportunity to let  math abilities shine.  The math problems challenge students of all levels, but can be completed by anyone who has the desire to channel all of the mathematics they have ever learned.  Math team problems expose students to unique situations and problems they have never seen before.  This offers a unique opportunity for students to escape the sometimes predictable world of traditional school mathematics. On four dates per year, three students from each grade take a challenging math test in competition with students from other local schools. The competition is strong, but St. X is always represented by well-prepared, high-performing young men. All students are welcome to participate. No experience necessary.

Meeting Frequency: Optional practices once a week through March. Competitions are four times as year.
