Science & Social Justice
The Science and Social Justice Club is a dedicated group of students who work in areas of science and technology to better the lives of the poor and marginalized. The main function of the group is to provide prosthetic limbs for children in developing countries through the use of 3D printers. Members of the club will also utilize their skills to work in areas such as solar panel research, water treatment for developing countries and computer training at nursing homes. In addition, they will take field trips throughout the year visiting organizations that employ technology to help those most in need. The club meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month in the Innovation lab before and after school.
