WSTX is a live, student-produced TV show that airs every morning throughout the school. We broadcast on Channel 9 of the school’s closed-circuit television system. This is an extra-curricular activity, open to all students. Crew positions for the morning show run on a 2-week rotation. Students assigned to a crew position are expected to be in the TV Studio by 7:45 am every morning of their rotation. All students are expected to produce periodic news stories and/or feature segments for the show in order to remain on the crew for the live production. New members are welcome to join at any time during the year. If a particular sports season interferes with meeting times, students are encouraged to participate in WSTX as their sports schedules allow. There is no previous experience required to be a member of WSTX.
WSTX usually meets on Tuesdays after school in Room 302 of the Media Center. Here, we discuss ideas for news stories and assign duties for the week.
