Saint Xavier High School hosted hundreds of benefactors and friends at the blessing and dedication of the new Sangalli Interactive Learning Center and renovated Brother Callahan, C.F.X. Media Center on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. There was a short program followed by a blessing led by Father Martin Linebach.
The 30,000-square-foot space includes modern classrooms, a large media wall, a unique gathering space for students and faculty to collaborate, a large lecture hall, and a new learning support center staffed with three professionals to manage the school’s learning differences program.
“This is first and foremost an academic facility, a true hub of collaboration for all students and faculty, which provides the best in Xaverian education and gives our students every opportunity to achieve their potential,” said St. X Vice President for Advancement, Mike Littell.
The new and renovated spaces are a part of the $51.0 million X Effect Campaign launched in November 2019. The campaign, which fully funded the $7.0 million project, aspires to make the St. X experience accessible to all qualified students by meeting demonstrated need, decreasing the rate of tuition increases, and fostering the latest in 21st-century skills. To date, the campaign has raised $49.0 million in gifts and pledges.
The new facility was named by key benefactors to honor the late Dr. Perry Sangalli, who served as President from 2001-2019.
